Why Big Thyme, Steppin' Dreamer?

Why Big Thyme, Steppin' Dreamer? What type of title is that for a blog? Truthfully I was very resistant to writing a blog! I did not want the hassle of reading and writing weekly (although I missed writing). Here I am sitting in at my desk minding my business and my life's dreams ran across my mind. I started thinking about my future and the plans I wanted to see come to light. As I am losing myself in my thoughts, I noticed that writing came up! I thought that it had been a year and a half since my book had come out. I felt that I needed to come out with something else, BUT I could not seem to finish any of the books I started. Instantly, BLOG came to my mind, and I dismissed the idea. My exact words were I AIN'T GOT THYME TO WRITE A B-L-O-G! LOL! So I tried to write a book again, and I failed miserably! SMH! SO Here I am with this blog titled Big Thyme, Steppin' Dreamer!

The first part of my blog name "Big Thyme" is important to me for a few reasons! First, It captures the essence of my heart. In all that I do I want to do it BIG! I mean want whatever I touch to empower and motivate people to be the best versions of themselves! Thyme is a major seasoning staple in my household. My mother did not cook with it much, but I could always tell when she did... The fragrance of the house would change and I knew the dish was stewed or baked. Which every one it was I knew it had taken time to cook in a beautiful big pot that had been passed down generation to generation. Also, the word Thyme is symbolic for actual "time"! I do not expect all of my dreams to come together quickly, just like my mothers stewed chicken I want them to take their THYME! When things stew they go through multiple changes and that's the route I want my life to take.

The second part of my blog name is "Steppin' Dreamer". The importance of the word steppin' is major in my life development. No matter how big or heavy life gets I'm "steppin' through it all! I vow to myself and to God that I will take life as it is. There will be plenty of obstacles in my life. I am not prepared for many of them, BUT I know that I can and will meet every goal I have! To be perfectly honest, being a dreamer is one of the most rewarding things I possess! From the time I was 10 years old I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, an author, write books, own a business and have a doctoral degree. Out of all my dreams I have accomplished them all except one! Can you guess which one I need to work on? Being a dreamer has opened my eyes to the important things that life offers. Dreaming has given my strength to get through some tough times of my life.
